1990 July - Iraq had never accepted its British-drawn borders, which established Kuwait as a separate entity. Iraq alleged that Kuwait was exceeding oil production quotas set by the OPEC, stealing oil from the Rumailah fields by slant-drilling across Iraq's border, which are considered "joint oil fields" by Kuwait, and establishing military bases and civilian establishments inside Iraqi territory. Iraq was also upset that Kuwait refused to waive Iraq's war debts.
1990 July 25 - False Flag 8: U.S. tacitly encourages Hussein to punish Kuwait for diagonal-drilling into its oil fields (line of burning wells along border), and invents incubator baby murders to motivate Americans to invade Kuwait, while the U.S. anticipates invasion with war games. General Norman Schwarzkopf, from an interview in the film Hidden Wars of Desert Storm, describing the "wargame" that was underway when Iraq invaded Kuwait: "We went ahead and did an exercise, what's called a command post exercise, which is what Internal Look was to test our ability to deal with this particular scenario ... Just so happened we were in the middle of conducting the Internal Look command post exercise at the same time the crisis developed in the gulf."
1991 January 15 - Operation Desert Storm begins, and ends only 44 days later on March 1, 1991.
In late July, 1990, as negotiations between Iraq and Kuwait stalled, Iraq massed troops on Kuwait's borders and summoned American Ambassador April Glaspie to an unanticipated meeting with Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. Two transcripts of that meeting have been produced, both of them controversial. In them, Saddam outlined his grievances against Kuwait, while promising that he would not invade Kuwait before one more round of negotiations. In the version published by The New York Times on September 23, 1990, Glaspie expressed concern over the troop buildup, but went on to say:
"We have no opinion on the Arab-Arab conflicts, like your border disagreement with Kuwait. I was in the American Embassy in Kuwait during the late '60s. The instruction we had during this period was that we should express no opinion on this issue and that the issue is not associated with America. James Baker has directed our official spokesmen to emphasize this instruction. We hope you can solve this problem using any suitable methods via [Chadli] Klibi [then Arab League General Secretary] or via President Mubarak. All that we hope is that these issues are solved quickly."
Some have interpreted these statements as diplomatic language signaling an American "green light" for the invasion. Although the State Department did not confirm (or deny) the authenticity of these transcripts, U.S. sources say that it handled everything "by the book" (in accordance with the U.S.'s official neutrality on the Iraq-Kuwait issue) and had not signaled to Iraqi President Saddam Hussein any approval for defying the Arab League's Jeddah crisis squad, which had conducted the negotiations. Many believe that Saddam may have been influenced by the perception that the US was not interested in the issue, for which the Glaspie transcript is merely an example, and that he may have felt so in part because of U.S. support for the reunification of Germany, another act that he considered to be nothing more than the nullification of an artificial, internal border. Others, such as Kenneth Pollack, believe he had no such illusion, or that he simply underestimated the extent of American military response.
In November 1989, CIA director William Webster met with the Kuwaiti head of security, Brigadier Fahd Ahmed Al-Fahd. Subsequent to Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, Iraq claimed to have found a memorandum pertaining to their conversation. The Washington Post reported that Kuwait's foreign minister fainted when confronted with this document at an Arab summit in August. Later, Iraq cited this memorandum as evidence of a CIA - Kuwaiti plot to destabilize Iraq economically and politically. The CIA and Kuwait have described the meeting as routine, and the memorandum as a forgery. The purported document reads in part:
"We agreed with the American side that it was important to take advantage of the deteriorating economic situation in Iraq in order to put pressure on that country's government to delineate our common border. The Central Intelligence Agency gave us its view of appropriate means of pressure, saying that broad cooperation should be initiated between us on condition that such activities be coordinated at a high level."
http://www.oilempire.us/wargames.html: The 9/11 war games are part of a pattern where exercise simulations have been used to mask real world events. The 1990 "Internal Look" exercise simulated Iraq's invasion of Kuwait at the exact moment that Iraq invaded Kuwait (Cheney was Secretary of Defense). From an interview in the film Hidden Wars of Desert Storm, General Norman Schwarzkopf described the "wargame" that was underway when Iraq invaded Kuwait: "We went ahead and did an exercise, what's called a command post exercise, which is what Internal Look was to test our ability to deal with this particular scenario ... Just so happened we were in the middle of conducting the Internal Look command post exercise at the same time the crisis developed in the gulf."
3/11/1921 - The Cairo
Conference concludes: after five months of deliberations that had been
called by Secretary of State for the Colonies Winston Churchill, France
and the United Kingdom decide on the borders for the future kingdoms of
Iraq (Mesopotamia), Transjordan, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

County (California) Register, 12 October 2001, Local:9.
10/10/1922 - The Anglo-Iraqi Treaty is signed between Sir Percy Cox,
the British High Commissioner in Iraq, and Faysal bin al-Husayn bin Ali
Al-Hashimi (the future king Faysal I). The terms for future involvement
by the United Kingdom in Iraq"s internal affairs are spelled out, along
with establishing the borders between Iraq and the future kingdoms of
Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
6/19/1961 - Kuwait formally receives its independence from the United
Kingdom. A year before, when the British terminated its protectorate,
Iraq immediately made claims to its renegade province; within the next
month, British armed forces were stationed in Kuwait at the request of
the Emir. NOTE: A very informative web page titled "Bin Laden comes
home to roost," [Formerly available at

this entry. But it has since been withdrawn from the World Wide Web.
7/22/1987 - The United States Navy begins escorting eleven reflagged
(flying the U.S. flag) Kuwaiti super tankers, which carry petroleum,
through the embattled Persian Gulf. NOTE: Between 1992 and 1999, the
U.S. government spent"on the conservative side"thirty billion "dollars"
per year to safeguard petroleum from the Persian Gulf, of which, only
slightly more than ten billion "dollars" (22% of all total imports)
found their way into U.S. markets. Were U.S. enemy/subject/citizens to
pay this subsidy directly at the pump, (via the a lawful, Article I,
Section 8, Clause 1 excise, instead of through the unlawful income
tax), it would mean adding a surcharge of approximately 200% onto the
price of a gallon of gasoline. This would make domestically produced
oil, and renewable sources of energy, much more economically viable
alternatives.

7/25/1990 - April Gillespie, ambassador to Iraq, reassures dictator
Saddam Hussein that the United States "has no treaty commitment with
Kuwait," implying that if he invades Kuwait, the U.S. government will
do nothing.

8/2/1990 - The Persian Gulf War begins: Saddam Hussein, dictator of
Iraq, invades Kuwait. Hussein seeks to assure King Fahd, of Saudi
Arabia, that Iraq is only trying to recover its renegade province,
which had been partitioned away seven decades previous. Osama bin
Muhammad bin Awad bin Laden offers his resources, fortune and personal
contacts to King Fahd, to defend their homeland, in case Hussein is
lying. The only request of the son of Laden is that the king not ask
the United States for assistance.

Commander-in-Chief George Herbert Walker Bush issues Executive Orders
12722 and 12723, freezing all Iraqi and Kuwaiti assets in the United
States.
NOTE: Up to this time, Bush had approved 1,000,000,000 "dollars" in
loan guarantees, and 4,800,000 "dollars" in advanced technology sales,
to Iraq. Also look at trouthout - Yes, U.S. Helped Iraq Get Chemical,

8/6/1990 - The United Nations Security Council passes Resolution 661:
ordering a naval blockade of Iraq.
Postscript: In the decade following this action, United Nations trade
sanctions have been responsible for the deaths of over 500,000 Iraqi
nationals.

Richard B. Cheney, Secretary of Defense, shows King Fahd, of Saudi
Arabia, falsified satellite photos of Iraqi troops allegedly massed
along the Saudi-Kuwati border poised to invade. King Fahd, lends his
assent to the presence of United States Armed Forces (private
mercenaries) in his realm after Cheney assures him that they will not
stay "a minute more than needed if he consents to the use of his realm
as a staging area to launch an unlawful foreign war against Iraq.
NOTE: From this point on until 2003, the United States has maintained
35,000 troops in Saudi Arabia, which is considered to be an abomination
to the Saudi Arabs, to have infidels on the "Holy Peninsula."
Postscript: Osama bin Muhammad bin Awad bin Laden is soon ordered into
internal exile in the city of Jiddah, as the king realizes his decision
will enrage the son of Laden.

10/10/1990 - "Nayirah" testifies to the CONgressional human
rights caucus committee, of war atrocities committed by the Army of
Iraq against the Kuwaiti nationals in their occupied realm. The 15
year-old girl goes into great detail of how 312 newborn babies were
pulled from incubators, and thrown to their deaths on hospital floors.
NOTE: "Nayirah" is in truth the daughter of Saud Nasir
Al-Sabah, Kuwait"s Ambassador to the United States. The family lives
next door to Democratic (socialist/fascist) senator Edward Kennedy, of
the commonwealth of massachusetts. "Nayirah" had not been to Kuwait
during its occupation. Her entire testimony was fabricated. But that
did not stop President George Herbert "Read my lips: no new taxes!"
Walker Bush from citing her testimony as another reason why dictator
Saddam Hussein must be contained.
1/19/2000 - Former Republican (fascist/socialist) President George
Herbert "Read my lips, no new taxes" Walker Bush, while on a visit to
the 332nd Air Expeditionary Group of the United States Air Force,
stationed at Kuwait"s Ahmad al-Jaber air base, tells the four hundred
officers and airmen, "I"m delighted that I"ve been invited out here
today to salute you, who, in my view, are doing the Lord"s work."
As a private enemy-subject-citizen, he has a perfect right to his
religious opinion; however, as a former Commander in Chief, still on
our payroll, I wonder if he was referring to a particular definition of
Allah, or one the many gods defined by the various Christian sects" Or
maybe his "Lord" is the ego of the sitting president of the United
States.
